Using the Rombo is easy. Once you have installed the Rombo app, you can open and close it at any time from Shopify's Theme Editor.
1. Opening Rombo
i) From the app menu of the Shopify admin dashboard, click 'Add your first animation'. This will open Shopify Theme editor for your store (the Rombo app will also open).
ii) If this is your first using Rombo, you will see a sequence of onboarding prompts to guide you through using the app.
iii) Click on any on-page element to open the Rombo animator.
💡 Rombo can only be used when Shopify Inspector is disabled and vice versa i.e., when using Rombo, be sure to deactivate the inspector, and when editing your Shopify theme, be sure to close Rombo and activate the inspector again.
2. Closing Rombo
To help you use Rombo quickly and effectively, you can minimize the animator or close the Rombo app quickly with some handy shortcuts.
Minimizing the animator
i) Minimize the Rombo animator using the [x] button found in the top left hand corner of the animator. This will close the animator but keep the Rombo app open.
Closing Rombo
i) Whether the animator is open or not, you can close the entire Rombo app from the Rombo Dock at the footer of your screen. Click the [x] button on the right-hand side of the dock to close Rombo.
3. Reopening Rombo
If closed, you can reopen Rombo at anytime by clicking the Rombo tab at the footer of your screen (just remember to deactivate Shopify Inspector when you want to use Rombo again).
